- David's early years in music journalism included a covert trip to Havana, Cuba, to interview Happy Mondays' bad boy, Shaun Ryder.
- For his DeGeneration X travel column in Paste, he penned first-person accounts of dune boarding in Peru, fence surfing in St. Martin, attending a jazz festival on a nude beach in Crimea, and diving 2,000 feet underwater in a homemade Honduran submarine.
- In a romance story for the ages, David was backpacking through Latin America when he met his wife, Carolina, who agreed to join him on a two-year adventure — from climbing temples in Tikal to getting chased by penguins in Antarctica.
Experience
Bringing decades of experience to his work, David is a versatile writer and editor who's crafted compelling narratives for media brands like Playboy, E! Online, and LOST iN city guides. Backed by opportunities to write columns and create digital content, David has set off on several multi-year adventures around the world, ultimately reporting from all seven continents.
