- Leaving her home in the States in 2015, Carrie embarked on an around-the-world journey for 10 consecutive years and has been traveling ever since.
- She has been to over 60 countries and learned the inside scoop on the best tourist destinations.
- Her favorite adventures include working in the Bolivian Amazon jungle, surfing in Sri Lanka, experiencing van life in Australia and New Zealand, and exploring Laos via a slow boat up the Mekong River.

Carrie is a part-time freelance writer and full-time globetrotter based between Southeast Asia and Alaska. She has been freelancing since 2018 and uses her on-the-ground exploratory experiences to write custom content. Her travel style centers around uncovering local dishes, exploring off the main tourist path, and seeking out ethical experiences that benefit local communities. Her work has been published in numerous magazines and online publications such as Travel Leisure, AFAR, Culture Trip, and Matador Network, among others. When not traveling, she is most likely planning her next trip or trying to perfect her favorite Thai dish- Khao soi. She is a proud member of the Cherokee Nation.
