Jody began her professional writing career just over a decade ago with a popular local print magazine specializing in food, fashion, beauty, decor, and business profiles. Since then, she has contributed to many outlets, particularly on the subject of beauty and wellness (putting her still valid, but never utilized, aesthetician license to good use). She has also interviewed celebrities and entrepreneurs, always finding an interesting and relatable angle for readers. When press trip opportunities presented themselves, Jody found herself visiting intriguing destinations from Sicily to Curacao, allowing her to write about her first love — world travel. Along with a professional colleague, she is also the founder and co-editor of an international lifestyle digital magazine.

Jody received her B.A. in social sciences from Washington State University and a teacher credential from California State University, Los Angeles.
