Experience

Pamela has been writing about travel, especially as it intersects with food and beverage, since 2017. After obtaining a master's degree in Arts Administration, a long-simmering fantasy about working with food took hold, and she then attended culinary school. She began writing professionally while working in restaurants, which afforded the flexibility to travel. As a full-time writer since 2021, Pamela has written extensively for both online and print media, including Wine Enthusiast, Travel & Leisure, Food & Wine, and Culture, a print magazine dedicated to cheese. At Islands, she loves to explore topics that highlight culinary travel experiences.

Education

Pamela holds bachelor's degrees in music and English from the University of Michigan, a master's degree in arts administration from Columbia University, and a certificate in culinary arts from the Institute of Culinary Education.
