  • Sara caught the travel bug at age 12 during a family trip to China. Since then, she has lived in four different countries and visited more than 40, most of them alone.
  • She is an art enthusiast — ceramics is her favorite medium — and has made pottery on four different continents.
  • She loves spending time outdoors, from solo hiking 200 miles on the Lycian Way in Turkey to surfing in Southeast Asia.

Experience

Sara is a writer, editor, and full-time traveler. Though she grew up on the shores of Lake Superior, she now spends most of the year chasing the sun and salty waves in beach towns across the world. Sara is an advocate for slow travel and prefers to stay in a country for several weeks or months to get an authentic sense of the area and local culture. She is passionate about creating content that empowers women to travel solo and experience the world deeply.

Education

Sara has a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Concordia College, with minors in chemistry and art.
