Sarah has worked as a freelance writer and copy editor across various industries for six years. She began her career researching and writing blog posts on historical topics using primary-source materials for the American Heritage Center, an archive in Laramie, Wyoming. During college, she worked as an editorial intern for the travel blog youRhere Modern Retreats, which focused on crafting bespoke experiences for thrifty travelers. It was while researching, writing, and pitching for youRhere that Sarah became interested in travel writing. In 2025, she began writing part-time for Islands, where she combines her passion for travel, research, and discovering new places.

Sarah has a bachelor's degree in Communication with a minor in Professional Writing from University of Wyoming.
